TESTIMONIALS

I bought my first black American from Megan Lord at a show. At that time I was a new breeder trying to learn the ropes and was working on broken coloured Peruvians. I had not given short haired cavies a thought. Megan had brought a beautiful black sow with a three week old litter to show in the "sow and litter" class. I was knocked out by their classic type and convinced Megan to sell me one of the junior sows. That sow, Lords Black Bear, grew up to be a lovely animal and later when I wanted to breed her, Megan lent me her grand champion boar, Loucks Steve, to breed her to. The foundation of my black American program, Equinox Mike, came from the resulting litter.

Over the years Megan and her mom, Jen, have been my mentors, cavy show travel buddies and friends. Megan combines an ability to look objectively at a cavy with a real love for each and every one.
